Tamarind rice

Ingredients:
Rice-2 cups
oil-3tsp
mustard seeds-1/2tsp
split Bengal gram-11/2tsp
green chillies-3
redchillies-2
peanuts-11/2 tsp
tamarind-3 stems
curry leaves-2 stems
turmeric powder- 1/2 tsp
procedure:
1.cook the rice and keep it ready
2.heat the oil in the pan. put the mustard seeds put the split bengal gram.
3.put the curry leaves green chillies and red chillies.
4.Add the turmeric powder. pour the tamarind water, add salt for taste and boil it till it becomes thick paste.
5.mix the tamarind paste with the rice.

Coconut Rice

Ingredients:
Basmati rice-2 cups
oil-2 tsp
mustard seeds-1/4 tsp
cumin seeds-1/4 tsp
curry leaves-8 leaflets
split Bengal gram-2 tsp
green chillies-4
shredded coconut- 4 tsp
Procedure:
1. Cook the rice and keep it aside
2.Take 2 tsp of oil in a pan and heat it. put the mustard seeds. after the popping sound starts put the cumin seeds and then add the split Bengal gram.
3. Add green chillies and then add the curry leaves.
4. Add the cooked rice and mix it properly.
5. Reduce the heat and add the shredded coconut and mix it and the add salt for taste.

Cabbage Chutney

Ingredients:
cabbage-1 medium size
mustard seeds-1/4tsp
cumin seeds-1/4 tsp
split Bengal gram-2 tsp
shredded coconut-5 tsp
garlic-2 flakes
tamarind-11/2 tsp
red chillies-3
salt for taste
Procedure:
1.Take 2 teaspoons of oil in a pan. heat it
2.Put mustard seeds in the oil, once the popping sound starts put the cumin seeds and then put the split Bengal gram wait till it becomes light brown. then put the red chillies.
3.Cut the cabbage into small pieces and put the shredded cabbage in the pan and place the lid then boil it for 10 mins then add the shredded coconut
4.Remove the pan from the flame and cool it. Then add the garlic flakes and tamarind and blend it.
5. Add salt for taste.
